SilkOrganDB - Silkworm Organelle Proteome Database

An Open-Access Resource for Silkworm Organelle Proteomics

Version: 1.0

What is SilkOrganDB?

SilkOrganDB is a resource for proteomics of silkworm organelles. SilkOrganDB implements and integrates Drupal for web content management, Chado for genomic and protomic data management, and bioinformatics tools like NCBI BLAST for data analysis. SilkOrganDB provides researchers not only functional annotation of organelle proteins, but also extensive information for gene ontology and protein domains, as well tools for browsing, searching and analyzing data.

Data Sources

To date, there are 3 major versions of silkworm Bombyx mori pT50/Dazao genome data, which are deposited in NCBI Genome Resource, SilkBase and SilkDB, respectively.

The SilkOrganDB is maintained by Southwest University (SWU), China. We keep on updating and adding new subcellular protein data of silkworm to SilkOrganDB. And we welcome people to share their data with SilkOrganDB, as well as suggestions and advices on how to improve the SilkOrganDB. Any questions please contact us.
